Tomorrow we are finally moving!! I am going to be with out internet for over a week so my blog will have to suffer even longer. I do promise to be back in full swing of things once we are settled in though!!!

So, we are getting ready to finally move (still here in Panama, just a MUCH better area..yay!) and in the process we have had to sell some of our furniture because with this move to a nicer area comes a smaller place! Well, when we first posted our furniture on Encuentra 24 (our Greig's list) I was just beside myself to know that we were practically giving away some very nice furniture! As it turns out, the family that bought it (at a SUPER low price) is a couple who just had a baby, have never owned their own furniture, and finally saved to get something for themselves. What a great feeling to know that our loss, turned into a blessing for someone else. Oddly enough, that is the same thing that happened when we moved from the States down here to Panama. A young couple, new baby and not much money got a beautiful set of furniture from us for practically nothing! They even called me later to thank me and tell me how much they loved it! It really feels good to give, even when you are not sure you want to. I believe, that it always comes back to you.... with more too! Not to be the reason to give, but just to show that when you can give, you shall receive. Plus it just makes you realize how good it feels to know that someone else is better off because of something you did!

**Here's a little catch though!!! The movers, who they have picking up the furniture, were supossed to be here on Monday afternoon, then again on Tuesday morning, then again on Wedsnday afternoon and now it is pushed to Friday! Do you think they are coming?? This is actually very typical down here. You don't know when they are really going to show (because nobody calls to confirm), but they will, it's just usually when you are NOT expecting them! There really are some things that I miss about he U.S!

Happy New Year to all of you bloggers! I have been very bad about keeping up with my blog and honestly will be until I get through the first of the year! Along with the Holiday hustle and bustle, we had my parents here for a visit! It was a GREAT time and we were so sad to send them off this moring. On top of that, we are in the midst of moving so needless to say it has been very busy around here...a GOOD busy though! So until next year....hahaha....I will be a busy lady!!

I have been such a bad blogger lately! December seems to be full of distractions with Christmas, and all that comes along with that! I am now in the GRIND as I get ready for my parents to come visit us for Christmas....YAY!! So I still might be a little MIA here and there for a bit longer.

I will be much better soon! Hopefully. It seems to be so busy here at the Correa Casa (I will go into more detail in a later post). I just want to continue to wish all of you lovelies a wonderful month of December! I hope this month is merry, cheery, festive, and full of love for you all!

Quick note: Colored pumps and stilettos are all the rage right now. Especially with dresses. Although I am seeing these everywhere, and worn with just about anything. What do you think?

I Have to say that I am diggin' it. Especially when done so tasefully, as Beyonce demonstrates below. Maybe something to think about for that Christmas, Holiday or New Year's party.

Love Life.....

Sorry I haven't posted in a couple of weeks, it has been a mixture of busyness with the kids, lack of motivation, and some sorrow in our life. Last week we had some great friends, and people, loose their 14 month old daughter. It has put such a dagger in my heart for them. Being a mother myself, I have such sympathy for them and that is truly every parent's worst nightmere come true. Thier names are Ricky and Louisa, and there daughter's name was Hailey. Please pray for their hearts to be mended, comforted and restored with peace, hope and joy as they continue on with life with out their baby girl.

How fast things can change in our lives, huh? While I love material things like shopping for a great pair of boots, and decorating my house, a nice car etc. this has just been such an in-your- face reminder of how preciuos life is.

We really can't take anything with us when it is our time to go, and while you should strive for more and go for those things you want, the people that we love and the memories we create with them is really what life is about!

Think you're having a bad day? Try picturing your life with out someone you love there. Don't sweat the small stuff, enjoy the important stuff, and let go of the stuff that really doesn't matter!

With that being said, have a great weekend.....with someone you love being in your LIFE.

Some down time.....

Part of keeping a healthy, radiant, and 'kept' appearance is giving ourselves the proper rest and relaxation that our bodies NEED! It's amazing what a couple days off, and I mean really off, will do for your mood, energy and your appearance. We just got back from a beautiful resort here in Gamboa, Panama and while we only stayed for a quick trip, it was soooo NEEDED!! Give yourself time off too....it will do your body & mind some good!

Fall Staples.

Thought that I would share my top 5 'go-to' picks to work as fabulous staples in your wardrobe this Fall. You can continuously mix and match these with so much to constantly have a different look each time you wear them......making all of these worth every penny you spend on them.

A Blazer is such a great piece to add a little extra class to your outfit and it just works in tying everything together with your look.

A nice fitted dark pair of Skinny Jeans. These really go with so much.... blazers, blouses, sweaters, knee high boots, heels....need I say more?

A great Skirt. Even tough it's getting cooler, it doesn't mean that we can't still show some leg. Show off some of those tights and boots this season with some cute skirts.

A nice clean White Button Up. I love this look because it gives you a chance to show off some bolder jewelry, and play up your make-up when going with such a clean and simple look.

A pair of black Leggins. These can give you so many looks, depending what you pair them with; thigh highs, blazers, heels, sweaters, belts, etc. Not to mention that they are actually pretty comfortable.

Work with what Ya got.

The older I get the more comfortable I have become with myself. While I still workout and eat a balanced diet to keep my weight down, I have become A LOT better about not being so hard on myself if I had a week that I only exercised twice or had one too many cheat days with my diet. While I believe in taking care of yourself, more so for your health, but yes, I also do it to keep in shape, I also really believe in a person really valuing who they are. It's good for your soul to love yourself and the things about you. We can aid in changing our appearance with exercise, make-up and things like that, but ultimately we are given these one bodies and it's so important to really learn to love yourself and what you've got. What is something you love about yourself? We all have something about ourselves that when we look into the mirror, we like. We also have things that we don't like. But as I have said I have definitely become more content with myself and it's such a better feeling to focus on the these things we like about ourselves, rather than the things we don't.

I have posted a couple pics (please forgive the terrible quality....such amatures over here!) of the things I like about myself. I have always been grateful and proud of my good pair of athletic legs that the Lord has blessed with. I used to be self-conscious growing up because a couple of my best friends were very skinny and had these little legs. I can tell you that once we were older however, I became very grateful for the set of legs I had. It's amazing how our view of ourselves can be so tainted when we base it off of what others look like or what they have. Another part of my body I like are my shoulders and chest (by chest I don't mean my boobs, I really mean the cheast area above there;). I know kind of a weird pic, and I seriously don't know why I like my shoulders and chest. For some reason I have always liked myself in strapless tops or tank tops. But funny enough, I used to be really self-conscious about this area as well because I have never had these skinny dainty arms and I always felt like my shoulders looked more masculine because they were a little more scuplted. Again, fast forward to woman hood, and you realize that what you thought about yourself before is really not what it was, once you are looking at yourself with a less judgemental pair of eyes.

My basic point today though is to really think about something on yourself you like, and really start focusing on that. You will be amazed at how much better you begin to feel, and in some cases even look. When we like ourselves, we take better care of ourselves which means we take better care in our appearances. The things yo don't like, well, that is up to you to try to change, with in your power, and then learn to quit focusing on it and know that you have plenty of other parts you like. Remember to be grateful for what you have.

When you look good, you feel good.....

Here's something to take with you this weekend, and always.

The
Cab Ride

I arrived at the address and honked the horn.
After waiting a few minutes
I walked to the
Door and knocked.. 'Just a minute', answered a
Frail, elderly voice. I could hear something
Being dragged across the floor.

After
A long pause, the door opened. A small woman in
Her 90's stood before me. She was wearing a
Print dress and a pillbox hat with a veil pinned
On it, like somebody out of a 1940's
Movie.

By her side was a small nylon
Suitcase. The apartment looked as if no one had
Lived in it for years. All the furniture was
Covered with sheets.

There were no
Clocks on the walls, no knickknacks or utensils
On the counters. In the corner was a cardboard
Box filled with photos and
Glassware.

'Would you carry my bag
Out to the car?' she said. I took the suitcase
To the cab, then returned to assist the
Woman.

She took my arm and we walked
Slowly toward the curb.

She kept
Thanking me for my kindness. 'It's nothing', I
Told her.. 'I just try to treat my passengers
The way I would want my mother
Treated.

'Oh, you're such a good
Boy, she said. When we got in the cab, she gave
Me an address and then asked, 'Could you drive
Through downtown?'

'It's not the
Shortest way,' I answered
Quickly..

'Oh, I don't mind,' she
Said. 'I'm in no hurry. I'm on my way to a
Hospice...

I looked in the rear-view
Mirror. Her eyes were glistening. 'I don't have
Any family left,' she continued in a soft
Voice.. 'The doctor says I don't have very
Long.' I quietly reached over and shut off the
Meter.

'What route would you like me
To take?' I asked.

For the next two
Hours, we drove through the city. She showed me
The building where she had once worked as an
Elevator
Operator.

We drove through the
Neighborhood where she and her husband had lived
When they were newlyweds She had me pull up in
Front of a furniture warehouse that had once
Been a ballroom where she had gone dancing as a
Girl.

Sometimes she'd ask me to slow
In front of a particular building or corner and
Would sit staring into the darkness, saying
Nothing..

As the first hint of sun was
Creasing the horizon, she suddenly said, 'I'm
Tired.. Let's go now'.

We drove in
Silence to the address she had given me. It was
A low building, like a small convalescent home,
With a driveway that passed under a
Portico.

Two orderlies came out to
The cab as soon as we pulled up. They were
Solicitous and intent, watching her every move.
They must have been expecting her.

I
Opened the trunk and took the small suitcase to
The door. The woman was already seated in a
Wheelchair.

'How much do I owe you?'
She asked, reaching into her
Purse.

'Nothing,' I
Said

'You have to make a living,' she
Answered.

'There are other
Passengers,' I responded.

Almost
Without thinking, I bent and gave her a hug. She
Held onto me tightly.

'You gave an
Old woman a little moment of joy,' she
Said.
'Thank you.'

I squeezed her
Hand, and then walked into the dim morning
Light.. Behind me, a door shut.. It was the sound
Of the closing of a life..

I didn't
Pick up any more passengers that shift. I drove
Aimlessly lost in thought. For the rest of that
Day, I could hardly talk. What if that woman had
Gotten an angry driver, or one who was impatient
To end his shift?
What
If I had refused to take the run, or had honked
Once, then driven away?

On a quick
Review, I don't think that I have done anything
More important in my life.

We're
Conditioned to think that our lives revolve
Around great moments.

But great
Moments often catch us unaware-beautifully
Wrapped in what others may consider a small
One.

PEOPLE MAY NOT REMEMBER EXACTLY
WHAT YOU DID, OR WHAT YOU SAID ~BUT~THEY WILL

Water Therapy.

Who doesn't love a good foot soak? There is nothing like putting those little piggies in some warm water while feeling relief from all the stress we put on our dependable feet. From wearing 3" (or higher) heels, to exercising, squeezing them in a pair of straight, square toed boots, or wearing flats that have absolutely no support at all, we really put a number on our feet. What's even more interesting is that so many nerve endings, to other parts of our body, are connected to our feet which makes it all the more important to take care of them. I myself am so bad at taking the time to do so but when I do, I always ask myself why I don't soak my feet more through out the week? Think how simple it is too, to just take 20 minutes (while your watching your reality show) and put your feet in some water while you're doing so. Water therapy is proven to be a method in healing stressed areas and as much as we depend on our feet it's not a bad idea to start there. I can almost guarantee that you'll be going to bed more relaxed from quick soak.

**An added plus is that it also makes the process of grooming our feet all the more easy, as the water will soften everything and make it that much easier to get rid of...nail polish, cuticles, filing etc.

FYI: You don't have to have an actual foot bath to do this. Get a big bowl or pot ( of course one large enough to fit your feet comfortably in) fill it with some water and baking soda (the baking soda will act as an exfoliant) and lay those babies in the water. The water does not have to be hot either. Cool water is just as therapeutic. One more thing....wash that bowl or pot after use!

Might I recommend this? If you are wanting some ultra soft feet, get you some of the Aveda Foot Relief....LOVE.

Five quick reasons to exercise:

1) You will get a natural boost in your energy and almost always continue with that energy through out your day.

2) You will get a mood lift. I always (99% of the time) am in a better mood after working out. Along with the natural release of endorphins, I am in a good mood after working out because I just feel better about taking action to help my body stay fit and healthy.

3) Many researchers have shown that anywhere (depending on what you read, or who you talk to) between 20 mins-60 mins of exercise, 4-5 days a week helps to lower your risk against many different cancers.

4) You aid your body in blood circulation, flexibility, and muscle strength which is vitally important for our bodies as we age. It's amazing how great of shape my 86 yr old grandma has been in from walking every morning, followed by stretching. Start those healthy habits now and do your part in helping your body age.

5) You see results! Now this definitely goes along with eating. If you are eating a balanced diet and are steering clear of a high calorie based diet, than you will definitely see some nice results from exercising. Your waist line will go down, you'll tighten your thighs, lift your booty and sculpt your arms. It's really up to you on how much of a result you want to see.

*Remember that fit does not mean thin. It means that you are in great shape due to exercising. Crosstrain to get the best results, as strengthtraining burns more calories than the cardio...but the cardio is so vital to well.....our cardio!!

**One more little thing. Along with exercising your body, exercise your mind. Do some cross words, read, play scrabble, solitaire etc. This too is so important to our health as we get older! Why have the good healthy body if you can't even enjoy it?

These can't be "mom" jeans?

And they're technically not called that. However, I am branding these See by Chloé wide leg jeans as my new pair of "mom" jeans. These are already a fabulous pair of jeans for most women, but when you are running around with the kids, bending over, picking them up, having them hang on you, etc., you definitely don't want to be in a low rise, tight pair of pants. It is so not worth the hassle, and self-consciousness that come with that. This style of jean, in particular, have a little bit of a higher waist, which not only holds your tummy in a little but they keep some coverage for when you are bending over to grab something that dropped for the 4th time...whew!

Along with all of that, wide legs are making an appearance again this season (yes!) so you'll have style to go along with comfort! Now, I realize that some of us may not have the funds in which a pair of See by Chloé jeans might cost, but you now know what is available out there, in MANY other brands. Kick Off FALL....

Try it at least once this week. You might be pleasantly surprised at how much you like it. Putting your lips "on" really does give you a more finished look with your appearance. I almost always make sure to "put my lips on" when stepping out....even if it's just to the grocery store, and it's just gloss. But why not try going bold..tis the season!

You can still go BOLD but do it softly. Cameron is wearing a nice soft shade of red, which is making a statement but it's still on the softer side of a dark lip color.

It's amazing how our accessories can often add the perfect finishing touch to our styles, that along with out lipstick and gloss. Sometimes it's fun to make a statement with them, and sometimes less can be more. Either way, I am one that loves to let things dangle off of my neck, ears and wrists! 'Bout Time....

As most of you have seen, the first 'plus-size' run way show EVER took place at NYC Fashion Week. I think it must have been so refreshing to see some healthy looking women strutting their stuff on the run way. I am not knocking the regular, very thin models, we are used to seeing, or hatin' either, I just think that it is nice for women with a little more meat on them, and women of the average size, to be shown as stylish and beautiful as well!! It's about time they put some of these curvaceous beauties on the catwalk!

All I have to say is...it's 'bout time!!

Brown IT Up

As we are all aware of with fall comes all of these beautiful fall colors. There is something to be said about changing the color scheme up with not only our clothes, but all the shades of our makeup as well....I LOVE it!! Browns are always such a beautiful dark color to go with on the eye. They are a subtle tone of darkness that can create a melancholic, mysterious aura to the eye....matching the mood of the seasoning. I love browns because they can create a toned down bold/smokey look, bring a little neutrality to the eye and they are great accent colors. Here are some colors that work well with many shades of brown and give the eye lids a beautiful POP! Gold, Black, Plum and Teal.

The look from the picture above was created with A deep chocolate brown and a golden shade as well. Application is as follows:

" For this look, a chocolate brown with a slight shimmer was used as a wash all over the eye lid and blended up into the crease of the eye. Black eye shadow was used to smudge along the top and bottom lashes while a soft golden eye shadow was used to highlight the brow bone"

What's your go to item? That one consistent accessory, or article of clothing, that you almost always 'go to'. For me, it's my hoops. Whether gold or silver (preferably gold), big, jumbo, small, frosted with diamonds, odd shaped, etc. my beloved hoops are definitely my one accessory that I almost always make sure to have on. They make your hats look even better, they add a little some um' some um' when you are dressed down, they peak though your long locks to show themselves, or they make a statement when you hair is all pulled up. I love that whether you are dressed up or down, hoop earrings always come through in the style department for me!

So I was on the phone with my mom the other morning and she told me that they actually already had some frost that morning in Colorado. That is a sure sign that fall is moving in, and with it is a wardrobe change. Man I miss that! Living in a tropical climate has it's perks, but one of the downsides is the lack of seasonal change. True seasonal change, for those of us that grew up in a climate that really has one. Anyhow, for those of you that are slowly starting to have those cooler mornings and nights here are some transitional sweaters, that you can purchase or bring back out of the closet.

It could be from what you are eating....

Are you in your thirties (or somewhat close to) and wondering why your skin looks like a hormonal teenager sometimes? Or feel like you paid your dues with acne in your teens, and you thought once you were really an adult that you would never see another pimple again? 54% of women of age 25 or older actually suffer from acne and if acne is something that you have always had to deal with, off and on since your teens, then the cause of it could actually be what you are eating. Yes, it really could be from a food allergy. I recently read here @ highonhealth that many people have cured their acne through what they are eating. Wheat and dairy (cow's milk) are the most common culprits, but eggs, nuts, soy, fish, shellfish and gluten are all foods that can cause a food allergy as well. Food allergies cause an inflammatory reaction with in your body, and acne is definitely an inflammatory result.

I know that when my skin is looking all dewy, and clear I definitely feel better about my over all appearance. I can only imagine that most of you feel the same way.....especially if you are a 'grown up' women in you thirties. If you suspect that this could be the case for you, then try eliminating certain foods for one month and see if it helps your skin. You could also always go get tested for food allergies, but it's worth saving some money right off of the bat and trying it out for yourself. If you're not sure then just try paying attention to your body, and skin in particular, when you are eating certain foods and see if you find any type of flare up when you do eat a certain food....if so then eliminate it and see what happens. Another reminder to also get that water in, and lots of it, daily;)

Black Out

So I know that Labor Day is right around the corner, which means that some of you follow the no opened toe "rule". I am not one that has always followed it because we always still have such beautiful weather through out September in Colorado, and I know that once I put my sandals away they are not coming back out for a good amount of time. Being that darker colors are resurfacing due to Fall rolling in, now is a great time to try black on your nails. I know that this has been popular for a while, but I also know there are many of you that feel like black is a little extreme. It might feel like it at first, but it actually looks pretty good on the toes, and I love it on the finger nails. Plus it always go with everything. I think if you try it out, you will be pleasantly surprised at how good it actually does look. So, if you have wanted to try this popular color out, now is a great time to go for it.

* Just can't do the black? Then try a dark blue.....

.....or even a grey. These are both great alternative colors to the black, that look good, and they are different from the usual wine reds, and dark purples that we see when using darker colors on our nails.

Chilean women actually create a mask of mashed up red grapes mixed with 2 tablespoons of flour, leaving it on their face for 10 minutes, to give their skin a luminous glow. I think one of my biggest pet-peeves are pantie lines. It is with out a doubt just one of those big fashion No No's, yet we all see plenty of them. It seems like summer time brings out the best in many to wear some cute outfits but not properly dress underneath to make their ensemble all the more classy. I have seen many great outfits gone bad all due to pantie lines. It's amazing how much better even your jeans look with out pantie lines too. They are so easy to eliminate as well. These days there are so many alternatives if you are not one to wear a g-string...btw, don't forget to wear a slip with that thong, if needed, under a skirt or a dress;) Just because it is a thong, does not mean it will be pantie line free.

We have just about all heard of Spanx (LOVE). These will automatically give you a pantie line free look with some control top too. What a difference the picture below shows.

There are the 'no line' boy shorts (ultra comfy) like the ones made by jockey here.

Seamless panties are not only ultra light weight and comfortable but they really do look smoother under clothes. This style is great to wear under jeans. They give a little more coverage if you are worried about bending over, and giving a little peek. This style of a seamless 'girdle' is perfect for a more snug, curve showing dress, or top. It really smooths you out through mid section, and definitely takes some inches off within minutes! It has a fabulous control top. This too, is made by Jockey.

Seamless thongs are great under dress pants. A nude one is especially great for those fitted white pants that come out for summer time.

I know that it seems 'old school' to some these days, but a slip really does make a difference in appearance with certain materials, and white under white does not look nearly as clean as wearing nude under white. For instance, wearing a nude bra or panties under a white blouse or white skirt/dress/pants will blend in and give you a much 'cleaner look' vs. wearing white under white.

So, I wanted to pass along something that I have actually known since I was a teenager, yet for some reason it really rang true to me this past weekend when I heard it from my husband's mouth. Let me rewind real fast. When my sister and I were growing up and hit our pre-teens/teens, we were naturally wanting to start showing some midriff, let our shirt hang off of our shoulder, and wear a shirt that was 2 sizes too small so it was nice and tight. Our mom, however, would NOT buy clothes like that for us. We of course, felt like she didn't understand and that we weren't going to be viewed as 'cool' in school, or more importantly, with the boys. However, my mom always stood by her decision to keep us on the more conservative side (and I can see now, that is was preserving our youth and innocence) and backed it up with this quote that her dad, my grandpa, told her, " I can guarantee that if a man walks into a bar and sees two beautiful women, one which has more clothing covering her, he will probably look at the one bearing more first, BUT he will remember the women that is covered up far more because there is something so sexy when a women leaves something to the imagination". Of course a 14 yr old hearing that isn't really listening to this, but instead thinking of what she can borrow from her friend.

Fast forward to this weekend when I showed my husband this lovely suit that I purchased, after waiting for it to go on clearance with VS...and it did!

Well, of course he loves it and gave me the whole "yea, baby that will look good" stuff. But when I showed him how I missed wearing things like this (which I don't, due to my stretch marks on my tummy from babies..just don't feel as attractive baring them, like to keep those for my viewing only;)

....this is what my husband told me "I actually have always preferred something like this "
I was, of course, surprised and when I asked him why, what do you think he told me? "Well, of course the bikinis are hot (go figure) but I have always thought that it is more sexy when you see a beautiful women with something on that leaves a little to the imagination". Was my granddaddy right, or what?? I had heard that same thing over 15,16 yrs ago, yet when I heard it from my husbands mouth again it just really made what my mom always preached, and that example from my grandpa, ring so true to my sweet ears.

I have actually always held that close in the back of my mind, and really never revealed too much, my sister being the same way, because of that example my mom used. But don't let me fool you, I have always made sure to keep myself in style and can proudly say I have turned a few heads......JK....well, kind of;)

Now that I have a daughter boy does that really mean something. I am not knocking anyone who might like to dress wearing something that is "less is more", but I am saying that these young girls today have skin right in front of their faces. From the TV, to magazines and the internet we see women with very little on and it is so important to educate and reassure them that "baring a little extra" is not always as sexy as it seems to be. Don't believe me? Ask a couple of different men and see what you come up with.

I hope for all of you with daughters out there that you can pass that on to them too. How a women holds herself with confidence, dresses with class and exudes the respect that she has for herself, is definitely going to hold her in a man's head longer than that women who might have caught his first glance.

**On that note, I also just wanted to post some suits that look fabulous on some women of plus size (according to who?)....cough, the average women.....to show that it's all about how you wear it...and wear something that fits. This rule of thumb actually goes for you little size 2's as well. Oh, I have seen some little thin women have a droopy, saggy butt in their bikini bottoms that are too big on them....just sayin'.....not cute. On that note take a look...

Did you know that most work out routines are missing yoga? I recently learned this and have to admit that I am one of those who fall into that category....until this week that is;) I just starting incorporating 10 minutes of yoga at the end of my workout routine and I have loved it so far....for the last 3 whole days! OK, I know that it is still knew and fresh, and that is why I am on a yoga high right now, but I have been asking myself "why have I not started this earlier"?

I am one that has always suffered from leg cramps from time to time (TERRIBLE ones when I was prego) and I can't tell you how the stretching in the yoga is already doing wonders for my calves. I did not realize how tight they were/are until I was forced to really stretch them more in my yoga. I can see how great this is for your body, and just wanted to encourage those of you that are not doing it to try it out. I have a friend that had some pretty bad back pain, and her doctor recommended for her to try yoga....she has been pain free since starting yoga class and I can really believe it now that I am doing it myself.

On that note, y'all have a great week. If you get a chance, even try a quick 5 minutes of some yoga on Youtube...seriously worth it...especially for your body.

So, I like to draw inspiration from just about any style when I am wanting to change my own look up. What better way than to see what fashionistas are wearing from all over. Here are some women showing off their styles from San Juan, Brazil, Madrid and England.

Our first one here, left above, is photographed in San Juan. She definitely has some great legs to wear some flat warrior sandals with that short minidress. It's workin' for her. For those of us that might not feel comfortable in something so short, pair that with a great pair of jeans and some heels, and that will be workin' for you.

This Brazilian lovely is all about adding some louder color to her black and white ensemble. You see this a lot out here in Panama too. Many Latin American countries embrace lots of color. I have to say, that I have added a lot more color to my wardrobe since living here.....and LOVE it!

Personally, I like this dress...a little peasant, vintage, hippie in one...I might loose the jacket myself.

So, shorts with heels are definitely a go in Spain....I would have to agree with that. Definitely makes the legs look longer, which is flattering in shorts. Shorts tend to widen the look of our hips and legs...unless you're super skinny. I would say to put on a smokin' pair of heels if you are going to wear some shorts for a dressier look.

London -So just about anything goes in London, or so I've heard. I can't completely say that since I haven't been there:) It's a pretty safe place to step out in your own style, or just be bolder with your fashion in general.

How do you spend your time? I saw a clip from the the Today Show where author, Laura Vanderkam, talked about her book '168 Hours'. It's basically about focusing on the 168 hours in a week rather than the 24 hours in a day. This can help you to better complete many of those tasks you have for yourself. You can actually visit her website my168hours.com to check out some of what she talked about and get the direct link of her interview on the Today Show.

My point though is, I really got a lot out of her short 3 minute interview. I know that I tend to get side tracked through out my day with FB, e-mails, cleaning, etc. and really, I know I can be more productive. Sometimes I tend to get frustrated with feeling like there is just not enough time to get things done for myself, and I realized yesterday that honestly, it is just how I am spending my time. That even goes with spending some extra time with my little sweeties. She is not trying to tell you to micromanage your time, but to really pay attention to how you spend your time, and re-evaluate what you can do differently to get those things, that are most important to you, done. I am really going to try to pay attention to what I do with my time this week, and re-adjust some things. I just wanted to encourage some of you fellow, motivated, inspired, goal achieving bloggers to do the same....if it's needed;) It's amazing what we are capable of accomplishing, but it's even more amazing at how easily side tracked we can get.

Summer Easy

As I was Skyping with my sister yesterday, I noticed her super cute dress, which was just a short sleeve navy cotton dress belted at the waist with a chic dark brown belt. When I told her how cute she looked, she told me that she felt like wearing something easy to get in and out of and comfortable. Well, she not only had that, but she looked really good too. It got me thinking how perfect some summer dresses are for comfort, yet many of them still have you looking chic and put together. This too got me thinking that whether you are going somewhere with the kids (park, zoo, museum etc.), running errands, have a lunch date, or even work at home as my sister does, a summer dress is just the thing to wear in aiding you with some style and comfort. Cream vs. Powder

Which do you prefer to use on your eyes? While most of us tend to think that the powder will last longer, crease less and appear less oily, it is quite the contrary. Cream eye shadows actually crease less and absorb less oil, looking more smooth and keeping that fresh look we want longer. This is especially true with warmer climates that tend to make us perspire more...... might think of switching it up to a cream shadow for the summer time!

Spring/summer time has many of us itching to change up our hair color, usually going lighter. Many of us get so caught up in wanting a color that we LOVE on someone else though, that we forget to choose a color that is going to look equally as good on our OWN face. The tone of your hair color can really alter your appearance for better or worse. Here is a great article for choosing the best color for you and your skin tone.

When choosing a hair color, the trick is to complement your skin tone in order to minimize flaws and bring out the best in your complexion. Picking the wrong shade can be a disaster for your overall appearance. It can make you look tired, sickly or unnaturally ruddy. Visiting The Early Show on Monday, stylist to the stars David Evangelista brought tips on hair coloring, which he demonstrated on three models.He says the first step is to determine if your skin tone is cool or warm. In general, you will have a cool skin tone if your hair is naturally bluish-black, dark brown, medium ash or golden blonde. Your skin will be pale, with pink or no undertones; medium, with pink, golden or no cheek color; very dark brown (some Latinas or African Americans); or true olive (Asian). Evangelista says "cool blues" do well with blue-red hair shades, such as burgundy, ruby, garnet, cherry or bordeaux.

You will mostly likely have a warm skin tone if your natural hair color is red, reddish or golden brown, deep brown, strawberry blonde or natural golden blonde. Your skin will be pale, with peach or gold undertones; brown, with pink, butterscotch, copper, caramel or golden undertones (some Latinas or African Americans); or freckled. "Warm yellows" do best with copper, cinnamon, ginger, russet and strawberry shades of red hair color, according to Evangelista.

Quick tip: Another way to figure out if you have a warm or a cool skin tone is to look at the veins in your arm. If they look blue, chances are you are a cool; if they have more of a greenish tint, you're probably a warm.

Warm/yellow/golden skin tone
The first model, Jackie, appeared with hair in a pretty shade of deep brown. Evangelista and Parvin Klein, head colorist at the John Barrett salon, thought the color looked flat and that it gave her skin a yellow tint. They decided to even out Jackie's skin with a flattering chestnut shade, and to add a few cinnamon highlights to bring a little red into her coloring, neutralize her yellow/sallow skin tone, and add some rich depth.

The result: Jackie's skin looks rosier and her hair looks rich and healthy.

General tips for warm/yellow/golden skin tones
*Try deep, rich base colors like dark golden brown, chestnut, mahogany or auburn

*Highlight with red, cinnamon or copper streaks

Cool/blue-red skin tone
The second model, Paige, looked fantastic when she came into the salon, but there was a definite blue/red tint to her cool-tone skin, especially under her eyes, and her hair color was a little drab. To counter the blue and red tones in her skin and to make her blue eyes stand out even more, the stylists decided to go with a deep, minky base color, which would cool off the pink in her skin. They also opted to add a slew of golden highlights to warm up the blue tint to her skin.

The result: Paige's skin looks more ivory or peaches-and-cream than red/blue, and her blue eyes stand out.

General tips for cool/blue-red skin tones
*Try intense shades of brown, red or blonde for base color
*Highlight with wheat, honey, taupe or ash shades that contrast base

Red, ruddy skin tone
When Abigail walked into the salon, two things stood out: her bleached blonde hair, and her ruddy skin tone. The platinum hair over-accentuated the rosy cheeks and looked artificial. Klein decided to weave a slew of deeper colors like honey and caramel throughout Abigail's hair and to add a few bright blonde highlights for pops of color.

The result: Abigail's new hair color dramatically cools down her skin tone and, though she's still a light blonde, it's a far more natural color than before.

General tips for red, ruddy skin tones:

The Chocolate Milk Diet

Secret #1: The Calcium Effect
Researchers have known for years about the role that calcium plays in building strong bones, but a more recent development deals with they way it affects your belly. A series of studies have shown that calcium can actually impede your body’s ability to absorb fat, and when researchers in Nebraska analyzed five of these studies, they were able to estimate that consuming 1,000 mg more calcium can translate to losing nearly 18 pounds of flab. What’s more, other studies have shown that dairy foods offer the most readily absorbable calcium you can find. Knock back three servings of brown cow and you’ll reach that crucial 1,000 mg threshold. Other symptoms of the D deficiency are weak muscles, easily breakable bones, and depression—not a great combo for success. Now here’s why this is significant: Most experts agree that the average American isn’t getting enough D. Some estimate that only half the population is meeting the requirement and one study published in the journal Pediatrics found that 70 percent of American children had low levels of D in their diet. The thing is, your body makes vitamin D naturally when you expose your skin to sunlight, but most people spend too much time indoors to benefit. And intentionally spending more time in the sun could put you at risk for skin cancer. The solution? Drink up. Chocolate milk, like most milk, is fortified with vitamin D.
One caveat here: Drink 1% chocolate milk. Vitamin D won't work without a little fat to help break it down. You want to skip the whole milk, too, as it has too many calories to make it a regular habit. The best option is 1%, or low-fat chocolate milk. It has the fat you need to absorb crucial vitamins, yet at three cups a day, it will save you 120 calories over whole milk.

If you want to lose the gut, you’ve got to exercise—no surprise there. But here’s a fact that’s not so obvious: Drinking chocolate milk can improve your gains. In a study published in The International Journal of Sport Nutrition and Exercise Metabolism, subjects given chocolate milk before hopping on the stationary bikes were able to ride 49 percent longer than subjects given a generic carbohydrate-replacement beverage. And on top of that, they pedaled even harder. Total work performed by the chocolate-milk group was greater than the work performed by subjects drinking carbohydrate-replacement drinks or electrolyte-fortified sports drinks. The reason? Milk has naturally occurring electrolytes that keep you hydrated—more hydrated then water, in fact, which I revealed recently on my Twitter account—and its natural sweetness helps push more energy into your muscles. Another study from 2009 found similar results, but it went one step further by asking participants which beverage they thought tasted better. And chocolate milk can help you do that. Researchers have determined that the ideal protein load for building muscle is 10 to 20 grams, half before and half after your workout. How much protein will you find in low-fat chocolate milk? Eight grams per cup. (That means one serving before your workout and one serving after will give you a total of 16 grams of highly effective whey protein—a perfect serving.) Add that to the extra cup you drank first thing in the morning and you’re looking at a turbocharged metabolism that keeps you burning calories all day long.

As summer awaits, and those sleeveless shirts come out, along with skirts (minus tights and hose) shorts and all other leg baring garments, most of us tend to wish we already had a little extra color on those exposed limbs. You can! Jergens Natural Glow will definitely help you out with that. I know most of you have seen, heard and might have even tried this product but I wanted to give a recommendation to you all as well. I love this self-tanner for many reasons: 1.) It is not streaky...but you must do some work to help it out and rub it in thoroughly, let it dry before dressing, and wash your hands right after (with soap). 2.) It doesn't feel too thick on your skin. 3.) It doesn't smell bad, actually pretty good. 4.) It's under $10.00...buy it at Walmart and it is under $8.00. 5.) It is filled with vitamin E and other antioxidants. 6.) Though you don't see an actual 'tan' per say, you do get an enhanced color from this which does give you a nice "glow". Who doesn't like to feel that their skin looks a little more radiant?

**I personally suggest using it daily for the first couple of weeks and then after you attain a nice a color from it, go to using it every other day or even every couple of days. Also, if you are not seeing results, or as much as of result as you're wanting, then try bumping it up to a darker level. I know I originally started with the fair to medium tone, and ended up switching to the medium to tan tone. I was/am very happy with my results.

This is also a great alternative to basking in the sun so much....although a little of that is OK. A little extra vitamin D doesn't hurt...just put your SPF on;)

Another application to try this week: Try setting a small goal for yourself to accomplish before the week is over, or even over the weekend. Get it done and then set another one for yourself right away. I am going to do the same. I'll let you know what it is/was at the end of the weekend;) What's yours? Remember that just because it is a goal, it doesn't mean it has to be anything big. In fact, sometimes it's those little things we tend to let go, so just make it something that you want done..no matter how big or small.

*Want some new colors to try together? Recommended by Glamour, try the navy-blue and bronze combo, like Gabrielle Union has on below. What a Fabulous combo too. Most of us that have some big browns know it is no secret that a navy blue is a great color to make those brown eyes pop. This combo will look good on just about anyone though. Dust a shimmery navy color over the eyelid up to the crease. If you're feeling a little daring you can take it up to the brow bone! Personally, I like to go over the outer corner with a little bit of a darker color after applying my shimmer over the lid...up to you...and then you can also go with a navy colored liner on the bottom lash line. Follow with a bronze color over your cheek bones and lip color as well.

*Want to have that fake eye lash look without really having to put them in....yourself??

Try dusting your top lashes with a light weight translucent powder and then applying your mascara with nice SLOW strokes. Do a couple of applications and then take a lash comb to remove any clumps.

*Tired of wearing all that make up, and want a nice natural, yet glowing and 'done' sort of look.?

Go with a nice warm pink for you cheek and lip color. The great thing about a warm pink is that it naturally creates a more balanced look to the eye, which is great for hiding imperfections. Stick to some soft neutrals for you eye color, and if you must wear some liner, go with a soft brown. Clean it up well with a q-tip to blend in more and look extra 'clean'. This is a great soft and pretty look and one that Drew Barrymore is known well for.

Your Denim Blues that is.... Yes, denim is a 'go to' look right now and for all you jean lovers this is your season! With all of the floral out there right now... some of which is fab-U-lous, like these 3 Reem Acra floral dresses, there might be some of you who still think of floral print on dresses and skirts, even purses now too, as matronly or something that you always saw grandma wearing. A great way to add some instant style to this look, vamp it up a little and create a look that does not feel as if you are wearing a curtain, so to speak, is by adding a belt. I have posted some inspiration for those of you who may be struggling with this trend. So I was reading an article in my Glamour regarding ways to 'flatten your belly fast' and there was some information that I thought was not only interesting, but important to pass on because I know that MANY of us have a hard time with this area. For many of us it is one part of our body that we want to be nice and thin and flat; no love handles, no pooch yet it is really one of the hardest areas to rid some of those unwanted pounds from. While exercise is helpful, and so important for our health in general, eating really is 90% of the battle. Naturally, when we think of eating and trying to loose some weight we gravitate towards everything that is fat free and sugar free. David Heber, M.D., director for the Center for Human Nutrition at he University of California, Los Angeles, is now saying that according to research they have done it "shows that when women go on a virtually nonfat diet, they lose enzymes that help them digest fat". Basically, when you go off all fat, or almost all, when you do have a break down and order that mouth watering burger and fries you'll end up bloated. The best solution is to incorporate a little bit of everything in what we eat....which also means fat. Wohoo! I think we have always wanted to hear that!! There are healthy fats too like avocados, nuts and so on. Not only will the fat ease our digestion but it will help with those cravings we get when we take all of those yummies away. It's a win win; you don't feel so deprived and play those mind games with yourself, and your tummy will be less bloated which has you feeling better in your clothes! So don't beat yourself up if you do endulge a little.

** PuCKer uP: A nude lip is a do this spring season. I like to still use a soft pink color and line my lips, fill them in a bit and then smudge a little with my pinkie. Cover with some lip shine and you have a nice nude lip with just enough color and as my wonderful former boss, Brian at Tribe Hair Salon and Spa, would say "ya have your lips on".

The Cross Over

Yes, braids are back in this spring and summer season (not that they ever really left completely). Weather you are twisting it around the side of your shoulder, wearing it as a head band, dressing this style up for a night out or getting creative, braids are definitely in with the hairstyles right now.

I love and wear this look all the time. The over-the-shoulder side braid is a great, quick style for when you are running out but want to still feel and look put together. As you can see, these lovelies also wore it for more than just 'running out'. Versatile too!

Braids can look very classy when used for dressing the hair up, they seem very timeless with this style.

Yes, the corn rows are back for the ladies again and if you are one who can wear this style, and look good in it, I say do it.....I have always wanted to be able to wear this style, but thank God I recoginize that I can't. I love seeing beauties like Ciara sport this look though.

LOVE this style! Love that it is different and BOLD! Jill Scott is rockin' this style and what a great alternative to shaving one side....Melanie Brown (who actually pulls that off too). It's nice that you still have hair there when you are over the look.

This is a signature look for these beauties. What a nice soft little way to wear the hair down yet dress it up.

Just on a little break.....VACATION!!

OK y'all, sorry that I have been such a bad blogger lately but with good reason. I had fallen ill with what I thought was a stomach virus (it just happened to be going around down here) but when I hit going on 10 days of stomach cramps, chills, fever and some of the WORST headaches I have ever had, I knew it was not just a virus I had. BTW, I let it go so long due to people, who had the actual stomach virus going around, telling me that it leaves but then comes back. Sorry, totally rambling! Turns out I had salmonella. No wonder I felt so terrible. I thank God I went in when I did too, because once it enters you your bloodstream, which it did with me, it can really lead to some other serious infections. Once I started getting a stiff neck and terrible back pain, I actually got a little worried and knew it would be wise to get my bootie into the doc. I could keep hearing my mom say "you owe it to your kids and your husband to always get checked out so you can be here for them". That would not leave my head...thanks mom!

After 5 shots in the rear of antibiotics and 10 days of medication, I am feeling SO MUCH BETTER! If I can leave you all with any words of wisdom today, it would be to always listen to your body and if you are ever questioning anything, that is confirmation to go get it checked out. From the beginning I told my husband that I didn't think what I had was a virus but I let it go, and if I would have gone in earlier I could have saved my self a lot of pain. Not to mention that it could have done some major damage to the rest of my body.

So, I now I am on vacation with my family, feeling good just in time! I will be MIA on here just a little bit longer since I am not at my home base but had to be in touch with my fellow bloggers!

Despite what many of has have been told, and although it is popular belief that most sun damage is done before the age of 18, only 23% of sun exposure is obtained before 18. So, to maintain some beautiful skin like Ms. Biel make sure to be wearing that sun screen daily, and also incorporate a make up with an SPF included in it for some added protection. I know that I seem to feel the affects of a sun burn more now, then back in the day. I recently freaked out about my forehead getting burned...no wrinkles...PLEASE!! Hats are always a good thing too if you're going to be out for a while in those rays.

Water or Coke?

Very interesting. I received this in an e-mail and wanted to share with you all. I know that I tend to take this stuff to heart a lot more now than when I was in my twenties. I still love my cold glass of coke with ice, but I do like to pay attention to how good water is for our bodies. Let's not forget how great water is for our complexion too!

WATER #1. 75% of Americans are chronically dehydrated.. (Likely applies to half the world population)

#2. In 37% of Americans, the thirst mechanism is so weak that it is mistaken for hunger.

#3. Even MILD dehydration will slow down one's metabolism as much as 3%.

#4. One glass of water will shut down midnight hunger pangs for almost 100% of the dieters studied in a University of Washington study.

#5. Lack of water, the #1 trigger of daytime fatigue.

#6. Preliminary research indicates that 8-10 glasses of water a day could significantly ease back and joint pain for up to 80% of sufferers.

#7. A mere 2% drop in body water can trigger fuzzy short-term memory, trouble with basic math, and difficulty focusing on the computer screen or on a printed page.

#8.. Drinking 5 glasses of water daily decreases the risk of colon cancer by 45%, plus it can slash the risk of breast cancer by 79%., and one is 50% less likely to develop bladder cancer. Are you drinking the amount of water you should drink every day?

COKE #1. In many states the highway patrol carries two gallons of Coke in the trunk to remove blood from the highway after a car accident.

#2. You can put a T-bone steak in a bowl of Coke and it will be gone in two days.

#3. To clean a toilet: Pour a can of Coca-Cola into the toilet bowl and let the 'real thing' sit for one hour, then flush clean. The citric acid in Coke removes stains from vitreous china.

#4. To remove rust spots from chrome car bumpers: Rub the bumper with a rumpled-up piece of Reynolds Wrap aluminum foil dipped in Coca-Cola.

#5. To clean corrosion from car battery terminals: Pour a can of Coca-Cola over the terminals to bubble away the corrosion.

#6. To loosen a rusted bolt: Apply a cloth soaked in Coca-Cola to the rusted bolt for several minutes.

#7. To bake a moist ham: Empty a can of Coca-Cola into the baking pan, wrap the ham in aluminum foil, and bake. Thirty minutes before ham is finished, remove the foil, allowing the drippings to mix with the Coke for a sumptuous brown gravy.

#8... To remove grease from clothes: Empty a can of Coke into the load of greasy clothes, add detergent, and run through a regular cycle.. The Coca-Cola will help loosen grease stains. It will also clean road haze from your windshield.

FOR YOUR INFORMATION: #1. the active ingredient in Coke is phosphoric acid. It will dissolve a nail in about four days. Phosphoric acid also leaches calcium from bones and is a major contributor to the rising increase of osteoporosis.

#2. To carry Coca-Cola syrup! (the concentrate) the commercial trucks must use a hazardous Material place cards reserved for highly corrosive materials.

#3. The distributors of Coke have been using it to clean
engines of the trucks for about 20 years!

**I really posted this to keep us all aware of the benefits we reap when taking care of our bodies with something as simple as drinking enough water. This is to not scare you away from coke, as many of us already knew much of this info. regarding coke, but it is a great eye opener to pay attention to what we are putting in our bodies....and how much of something we are putting in our bodies.

I am always saying that "when you look good, you feel good", and a lot of that starts with taking care of our bodies!!!

A key to success: Do what you say you're going to do. In other words, keep your word in the small things you say you are going to do (calling someone, keeping plans you've made, going to the gym at the time you told yourself, taking the kids where you said you would etc.) and it will snowball into you keeping your word with the BiGGer things (finishing that business plan, applying for that higher position, doing what it takes to start or expand your business etc.). By following through with the things we say "we are going to do" it naturally gives us the confidence in ourselves that we are capable of doing greater, and we will somehow achieve it BECAUSE we are doing that in every aspect of our lives.

With the high waisted bikini that is. This vintage look has come back but, it is definitely a style that one must choose wisely in order to pull it off. I for one like it...certain styles of it that is. I do think it is great for women who might want a little extra coverage and tuck with their tummies, or even for moms that might feel self concious with those stretch marks due to pregnancy. A Warrior?

The 'Warrior' sandal, or as some also call it the 'Gladiator' , has graced us again this year with it's presence in the world of style. It has hung around for the past couple of years now, changing slightly with new styles each season, and thought I'd share some eye candy ....aka 'ideas' with you to get your closets ready for this Spring season that is oh so near. So this is the picture that accompanies the slogan "I Love My Body byVictoria.....introducing 3 new bodies to love". This is an add for Victoria's Secret 7 new styles of 3 new bras. While it is actually the bras that they are talking about, 'Body' by Victoria push-up, multi-way (which I love) and racer back, I think that it is rather humerous that there are 3 beautiful, very thin women posing under the slogan "I Love My Body by victoria"....again it is the bra that they are talking about loving. They really are not using these models as examples as the the 3 body types to love (that would be way too funny because they are all the same...SKINNY), and these are the models whom we are used to seeing wearing all of the lovely VS attire and accessories, however when I saw this add waiting for me in my mail box I had to chuckle at it. 'I Love My Body' ... of course you do! Who wouldn't love their body looking like that? Although I have to say that while these women are absolutely beautiful I myself happen to love my hips, my 'softness' (as my husband puts it;) and my curves. While curves have made huge head way, I doubt they will ever really take over the runway. I do agree with this add in the fact that every women really should be able to say "I Love My Body".

Women are so beautiful because we all come in different shapes, sizes, style, race, and cultures and the beauty we exude really does come from the confidence we hold with how we feel about ourselves.

With that being said, happy Monday and may all of you step out feelin' some big love for yourself today.

You're only as old as you feel.

My 86 yr.old grandmother is living proof of this statement! While it is actually my mom that has said this statement to me over the past years (when I have teased her about getting older, though she looks younger than her age too) it is my grandma who is constantly fooling people with her age because they simply can not believe that she is 86 yrs. old. This is not entirely due to her looks, although she really does look amazing for her age, but it is really due to her attitude, her out look, and the energy she puts forth EVERY day with getting herself ready, exercising, cooking, doing things around the house etc. She really does get up and do that EVERY day. You will never catch her with out her make up on, and that usually includes her lipstick as well. She is an avid believer in keeping your mind and body busy in order to keep them working and she really does stick to that. In fact just up until a couple years ago she was still mowing her own lawn (and she has a very good size yard-front and back both). She just re-wall papered her bathroom and kitchen (after striping it all herself... yes, I did say wall paper!). I truly believe the reason that my beloved, beautiful grandma is still in such excellent shape is due to her attitude to keep going and not start to lay around and complain about some of the aches and pains she is having. According to her "what good is to complain about all of my aches when they are going to hurt anyway? If I quit moving around and stop staying active, then they are going to stop working"! I admire my grandma so much for the discipline she has kept over the years with her health, and beauty in order to live a nice long life, and to still be enjoying her life now at a much older age. I know the good Lord has had his hand in it mostly, but here are some, really only some of SO MANY, of her secrets which have aided in keeping her looking and feeling younger than she is.

* She has always gotten up and walked three miles...now that she is older it is not quit so long but she at least makes sure to stretch her whole body if she does not get out to walk.

* She gets herself ready EVERY morning. This means, some make up, fill the eye brows in, and always put those lips on. She has always told me to never leave the house with out make up on (aka -looking nice) and that she always has more energy when she is wearing some make up, just feels more put together....I agree!

* She eats fish once a week.

* Never misses Church, and that includes during the week. Says her Rosary every morning.

* Has ALWAYS worn nylons to keep her legs looking good and aiding in support with veins...her legs still look so good too. Can't tell you the lectures I have had about wearing hose!!!

* She has, and still, stays out of the sun.

* She has, and still, goes places (movies, plays, vacations etc.) with friends and family.

*She has always choosen to drive herself around, and still does.....takes grat care of her car too.

*She does cross word puzzles EVERY morning (has for years and years) and usually evenings too, "to keep her mind going".

* She has always stuck to Eb5 as her number one face product.

* She takes a bath EVERY night with baking soda to keep her skin smooth with the natural exfoliant.

* She has always kept her diet in moderation, and can tell you when she has had too much salt, chocolate etc.....she knows her body.

*She still, at her age of 86, going on 87 this year, watches her weight.

* She has a beautiful attitude. She is always happy, joking, positive and THANKFUL for the life she has had.

This women has always been so disciplined in every aspect of her life, yet she never looked/looks at it as a chore. She just lives that way, and appreciates a lot. I truly believe that this (along with the Lord's covering) is why she is still in great health, looking good, and full of energy today at 86 yrs. old. She gives many of us in the family desire and motivation to follow that same lifestyle.

Oh, and she just joined a Senior's movie night club!!

I know I have been missing in action lately and that is because we just had 3 of our greatest friends come visit us down here in the lovely Panama. Therefore my computer time was pretty much zero, as I was soaking up all the time I could with our besties! Here they are above! So I thought I would share some pictures of our time with them down here to catch up with you all. From left to right: Brian, Lacey (whom are married) and my girl Heather!

They were all so good with our kids, being that the little ones went EVERYWHERE with us all....we don't have much help in the babysitting department.

The girl's took me to a resort for my b-day (the big 30....) and treated me to a spa day and some girl time by the pool....kid free..yay!

This was a great Italian Restaurant we went to...Pomodoro...yummmmmm

Here I am posing with my new cap that my girls got me for my b-day...one of MANY gifts...they seriously hooked it up from new nail polishes to new VS panties (wohooo) to a new purse, jewelry..I'm tellin' you, I felt truly blessed!

They saw some of the old ruins in Panama Viejo...these are 500 yrs. old.

Some things are definitely super sized here..LOL!!!

Did tons of shopping.

And just blessed us with their company which was long a waited for....

I guess it helps when it is Kate Winslet in the dress too;) Non the less, this style of LBD is fitting for so many different events and has just earned a spot on a hanger in my closet.

Today is my 5th wedding Anniversary with my God sent husband! I truly can't believe that these first 5 years of marriage have gone so quick..maybe that's because we have had 2 kids, 3 moves and a relocation to Panama (his home country)since then? NO...thank God we have just been blessed with happiness in our marriage and time just seems to fly by;) Here's a little shout out to mi amor......te amo siempre!

Love My Pencil Skirts.

So sorry that I have been MIA lately. We have all been battling a nasty cold here at the Correa home and I am finally feeling better, and have some energy (and relief time from my little ones) to at least write a little something of a post.

So, I have to say that I love the this look that LC has on. I love my dresses and skirts and there is nothing better than nice fitting pencil skirt! One paired with a great dainty, printed, floral or even bright top is a definite DO. It is not only classy, but usually pretty comfortable and usually can be figure flattering for many body types (when one is wearing their appropriate size I might add...I have seen some try to squeeze in to one that is just one size too small!). Honestly this look, with any number of tops, usually looks good and when I like to mix a little casual in I have worn a cute pencil skirt with a belt, and a nice fitted girly 'wife beater' tank and some extra jewelry to dress the top up a little....that along with some added color to my lips!

As all of us are fully aware of, floral is everywhere for the Spring wear and as you can see Whitney Port is sporting and pair of floral pattern tights. I like them myself.

I like the micro-floral print on this dress of Pink's. It is not only extra feminine, but it gives it a little bit of a dated feel. I can imagine how one might find similar looks at some great Vintage shops!

OK, so I know that many of you are still not able to really begin wearing open toed heels/sandals, go with out a coat, or bare those lovely legs yet because of that darn cooler weather so thought I would share just a couple of looks that are great for the tail end of Mr. Winter....OK, so almost to the tail end;)

Yes, I am still loving the over the knee boots and why not wear them while you still can. Also, while I love this top, it doesn't have to be such a fitted top to go with the leggings. A looser boyfriend sweater would look good, or adding a bomber jacket, jean jacket, or even a scarf to your top would all look good as well and give some extra coverage if that is what is wanted.

Mary Kate looks so much better to me when looking put together, and I have to say that she looks really good here. Love the belt with the coat.

If the weather is letting up some, then ditching the coat and rocking a nice scarf with a cute sweater is great way to go. Especially for all you/us moms needing a stylish, yet comfortable, and realistic look!!!

Congrats to the Saints....We were pulling for them here and I am so happy that they have their first Super Bowl win under their belt!!

So along with all of the brighter colors and prints we are seeing, and buying, Cargo wear has also made head way into this Springs attire. If I don't say so myself, VS has given me a new found love for Cargo wear and I want to pass that along to all of you. As always I like to post this stuff to give y'all some ideas and get those wheels turning for you as you begin to change out some of your seasonal wardrobe. I love looking through these catalogs because even if I don't buy from them, I always find something to look for on my next shopping trip, or I create a new look for myself from something I have seen.
